New survey: Food Delivery Apps in Thailand
In a world where convenience is king, food delivery apps have become a game-changer for many consumers. A recent survey conducted with Rakuten Insight Global’s proprietary, double-opt-in Thai panel delved into the habits and preferences of Thai consumers when it comes to ordering food through these apps. Notably, a staggering 67% of Thai respondents admitted to ordering from food delivery apps at least several times per month.
Usage frequency
Digging further into the data, it was found that approximately 21% of the respondents in Thailand rely on food delivery apps three to six times a week. Surprisingly, there was even a small percentage (10%) of surveyed respondents who confessed to indulging in several orders per day, highlighting the transforming landscape of the dining experience in Thailand.
Most popular food delivery apps
When it comes to selecting a food delivery app, Grab Food emerged as the clear favourite among Thai consumers, capturing a majority share of 56%. Following closely behind GrabFood is LINE MAN, with a significant share of 53% of responses.
Affordability plays a crucial role in influencing consumer decisions
Nearly half of the respondents (49%) affirmed that they spend around 100 baht but less than 200 baht for a single order on a food delivery app, inclusive of the delivery fee.
