Rakuten Insight, Inc., (“we”, “us” or “our”) recognizes the importance and social responsibility in handling personal information as a marketing research company, and is continuously promoting activities to establish and embed our Personal Information Protection Management System (the “PMS”). As an organization handling personal information, we comply with Japanese Act on the Use of Numbers to Identify a Specific Individual in Administrative Procedure (the “My Number Act”)” and Japanese Act on the Protection of Personal Information (“APPI”), and the Personal Information Protection Guidelines for the Marketing Research Industry  (“Guidelines”) established by the General Incorporated Association Japan Marketing Research Association (“JMRA”), and we hereby set forth the following policy:

a. Appropriate Collection, Use, and Provision of Personal Information
With respect to personal information of survey respondents handled in our marketing research business, as well as personal information handled in connection with employment and other matters (including handling of Specific Personal Information), we will appropriately collect, use, and provide such information within the scope of the purposes of use specified in advance. We will not handle personal information beyond what is necessary to achieve those purposes (i.e., use for purposes other than those intended) and will implement measures to prevent such use.

b. Compliance with Laws and Regulations
In handling personal information, we comply with the Marketing Research Code of Ethics and the Guidelines established by JMRA, of which we are a member, as well as My Number Act, APPI, and other applicable laws, government guidelines and norms.

c. Security Control Measures
We will prevent unauthorized access to personal information, and the leakage, loss, or damage of personal information and we will implement preventive and corrective measures with respect to any identified inadequacies.

d. Response to Complaints and Inquiries
We will respond appropriately, sincerely, and promptly to complaints and inquiries regarding our handling of personal information.

e. Continuous Improvement of Personal Information Protection Initiatives
In light of changes in social conditions and our operating environment, we will review our PMS and continuously improve our initiatives for the protection of personal information.
