In a world where convenience reigns supreme, food delivery apps have revolutionized the way people enjoy their meals. A recent survey conducted with Rakuten Insight Global’s exclusive Thai panel explored the habits and preferences of Thai consumers when it comes to using these platforms. Remarkably, an impressive 70% of respondents in Thailand revealed that they order from food delivery apps at least several times a month, highlighting the growing reliance on these services in everyday life.

Unpacking Usage Frequency: How Often Thais Turn to Food Delivery Apps

Delving deeper into the data reveals fascinating insights into Thailand’s food delivery habits. Around 19% of Thai respondents reported using food delivery apps three to six times a week, showcasing their significant role in daily life. Even more striking, 11% admitted to placing multiple orders per day, underscoring the profound shift in how people in Thailand are redefining their dining experiences.

Most Popular Food Delivery Apps

GrabFood stands out as the top choice for Thai consumers, with 54% of respondents indicating they use the platform. Its popularity reflects the platform’s reliability, convenience, and wide range of offerings. Hot on its heels is LINE MAN, which also garnered a strong following, with 49% of respondents reporting they use the service. This highlights the competitive yet thriving food delivery landscape in Thailand.

Affordability is a key factor in shaping consumer choices

4 in 10 respondents revealed that their typical spending on a single food delivery order, including the delivery fee, falls between 100 and 200 baht. This highlights a balanced approach to convenience and affordability among Thai consumers.
